Consortium Rules - Page 2 of 3 GENERAL RULES 12. Strictly no unauthorised swim clearance or swim building. FISH FROM EXISTING  SWIMS ONLY. 13.  An angler can only occupy a single swim at any one time and must comply with EA regulations regarding rods including Rod Licences 14.   Anglers  must not interfere with any angler in an adjoining swim 15.   NO  LITTER - ALL litter and discarded debris within the swim and surrounding area is te  responsibility of the Angler present.  REGARDLESS OF ORIGIN and ALL LITTER MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE FISHERY especially discarded line.  16.   All fish to be returned to the water at the very earliest opportunity. 17.   Swimming and wading is strictly forbidden. 18.   No open Fires or barbecues (Byelaw 12). 19.   Permit holders must not leave lines unattended in water whether baited or not.  Rods are considered to be left unattended if all tackle is not wound in when the angler is not in the swim. This will result in Gross Disciplinary Action.  20. All anglers must carry a suitable landing net and unhooking equipment including an unhooking mat suitable for their chosen quarry. 21.  All Carp and Pike anglers must use a padded unhooking mat, minimum size three feet by two feet. This must be present in the swim or fishing position before commencing fishing. Carp and Pike must not be retained in any manner.  The possession of sacks, tunnels or similar is prohibited whilst on the fishery. Keepnets may be used for other species but Wardens have the authority to request that any large fish be immediately returned if conditions so dictate. 22.  A suitable landing net must be used to carry large species from the water. They must be returned as quickly as possible either in the landing net or a suitable sling.  23.  REMOVAL OF FISH. All fish must be returned to the water from which they were caught as early as circumstances allow.  Persons attempting to return fish to other  waters whether adjacent or nearby will incur Gross Disciplinary Action.
